Enagic Usa - Kangen Fraud
I bought a Kangen machine Leveluk SD 501 for $4300 thinking it filtered out all the chemicals in the water. I was told it did. Their website expounds on the benefits of filtering out all the chemicals, and the negative effects of all these chemicals in the water. HOWEVER, THIS IS VERY MISLEADING. I found out two years later that my machine did not filter out all these chemicals, only lead and chlorine.
I was upset about this and wrote the president of Enagic a letter. I got no response whatsoever. When I decided to take the matter to court, they contacted me, but were unsympathetic. There website says they listen to their customers. They do not.
I lost my case because Enagic found on ONE of their company pamphlets in very small writing some info that the filter took care of only chlorine and lead. There was one very tiny mention of this. All the other info indicated I was getting the purest water available. To me this is out-and-out fraud. No one told me this when I bought the machine. They did tell me this was the "best and purest water in the world." Yes, they did.
I asked the judge why he thought Enagic put this info about filtering out all the chemicals in water, the virtues of that, when in fact the expensive machine I bought did not do that. He said, "Because they want your money." His exact words. Still he decided against me.
This company clearly lacks integrity. Avoid them.

All I can say is that it's better than filtering out nothing. But, before you spend on these expensive machines, there's no doubt that This needs to be disclosed
We bought the Leveluk R unit and really liked it so we decided to upgrade to the K8 model which is very expensive but so worth it for our bodies. My mom also has a Leveluk R, my fiancé mom and aunts own a machine each and we all as family love the benefits.
All toxic chemicals have a positive charge...what doesn't get filtered out goes out the grey hose....so the drinking water is the best in the planet....I have seen personally what drinking this water does to help sick people!
If that is so, it needs to be explained. I am not sure that what you are saying is true, that all toxic chemicals have a positive charge but that Kangen does not disclose complete info to its buyers and then blames their own distributors for not doing so is horribly unprofessional.
Even in the courtroom they did not know how their own system worked. AgainI consulted their office directly so they cannot be blaming their distributor in my case.
Very disappointed with enagic service. Sent machine to Texas for deep cleaning and replacement of all hoses and external parts since unit hasnt been used for 2 yrs.
they called me today to verify address. They only cleaned machine did not replace Any parts they said wedont have parts in stock.
And s since machine belonged to my wife they wanted to charge me double. I'm getting rid of my machine
The machine is not designed to Pre filter all water. It is designed to create electrolized reduced water loaded with antioxidant and molecular hydrogen with some filtration.
The on board filter is adequate for most city tap water applications around the world.
However, with less than $200 worth of pre filters you can clean up any water. You should spend your money on prefilters and suing the municipal water districts and governments that allow tap water to be so contaminated, not Kangen water.
The June 15th Dalton, Pennsylvania post is totally bogus. First of all, Enagic doesn't do automated calls.
Secondly, the business model is to let the people try the water for 30 days to see if it makes a difference in their lives and usually it makes such a big difference, that people instead call you back in less than that asking how they can buy the machine. And the business side? It is automatic. You don't pay anything extra to be a distributor, in fact, to not be one, forces you to fill out extra paperwork.
The distributorship simply allows people to buy the machine the cheapest way possible because the plates on it alone costs over a 1000. If Enagic paid for a marketing campaign and had sales reps like your other medical equipment that is sold, it would cost tens of thousands. But most importantly, anyone who owns a machine, knows that these negative posts on this page is totally bs. Do you know that it costs less than $5 to get 5 to 10 of these bad posts?
Be mindful people of a website vs just a blog. Unfortunately, the biggest thing on the internet for companies to do is pay to bad mouth the competition.
The best thing for anyone who is looking at buying a machine to do is simply find a local distributor and see for yourself; you can try the water for 30 days and you'll know in that time if it's something that helps you or not.
I have to say if you are going to dish out that kind of money to ANY company, you need to be sure to research the facts. Sometimes people hear what they want to (mostly consumers).
This is simply one of those cases where yes, any business wants to make the sale, not just Enagic (that's what makes it a business and not a giveaway, the money part) but it is in your own best interest to ask the appropriate questions, and don't rely on it being "told" to you in the sales pitch. Enagic uses a high grade filter. If you need pre filters because wherever you live has more than normal levels of other contaminants, then it is your responsibility to educate yourself about what is lurking in YOUR water. For the company to make a filter that filters out every consumer's water impurities would be impossible.
Lastly, Enagic is a water ionizer company, NOT a FILTRATION company.
Im sure you already knew that. Case closed.
I agree, I researched and Knew the Facts, And Bought a pre filter system and Very satisfied. And have had life changing results!
Anonymous.. I bought the SD501 and I am very satisfied with the water it produces.
Its better than RO in that it helps taking away pain from arthritis and gout. If you are in excellent health condition, you dont need kangen water but if you are, then you must buy this machine and drink the water.
You do need it if you healthy, because you want to stay healthy
It is unfortunate matterman9 that you lost your case, but I understand the reasoning behind the judge's decision. If the distributor in question had made the assertion that the Kangen Machine filtered all Chemicals in writing, then you would have won your case easily.
If everyone who purchased a Kangen Machine asked their distributor/seller to write down and sign on a piece of paper listing the health, healing and filtering promises down at the outset of their purchase, there would be a plethora of easy and crippling victories in court against individual distributors. The reality facing the poor distributor is that the parent company Engiac would likely never come to protect and back up an individual distributor facing such a suit with such evidence to back it up.
Dear Rationalist, Thank you for your kind response. Some people have been belligerent in their responses to my complaint.
I did learn a good lesson. i.e., don't be hasty in buying anything that costs this much, and get things in writing. The manager of the NYC office said Kangen was the finest water on earth. The Kangen website misleads you into believing it is pure, which of course would mean without chemicals.
The judge had to dig hard in the Kangen literature to find a statement saying it only filtered out two chemicals. He avoided what I showed him on the Kangen website. It was clear to me from the get-go he was not on my side, and I was going to lose. I tried compromising with my opponent, Enagic, to no avail.
They were hard-lined. I had also written to Engaic prior to launching my suit, again to no avail. Anytime you have a kind of pyramid scheme, and this is quite obviously a pyramid scheme, people are going to get hurt. If you have a good product, a good water system, sell it directly to your clientele.
This approach to building a business leaves many loopholes. I drank the Kanger water, and I now use Mulitpure, which filters out all chemicals, and I feel no different with it as I did with the Kangen water. And at least I have the assurance it is filtering out all the chemicals in my NY water. Also this promise of preventing cancer that is passed around among the Kange folks?
Well, I got cancer about two years after using the Kangen machine. So go figure. I think they should be run out of Dodge myself. But again, I thank you for your kind and rational response.
They don't call you The Rationalist for nothing, I am assuming. :)
If you did a little bit of reading on Ionization . You would have learned that the filter is minimal YES.
But the ionization process separates the water. Chlorine, Chloramine, Fluoride "
the bad stuff" likes to bond with the acidic side and the good minerals end up on the alkaline side....its not 100% but its pretty *** good. Plus you get all the beneficial minerals
If you want distilled water ... why not just buy a distiller than...??
or RO system? Not that this water is any good for you...
Alkaline ionizer water is very very important for human health. You should buy it.
You ought to buy it
You must buy it.
thank you very much.
Brazil
So even if Alkaline water is so critical to human health as you assert, why not buy a box of Baking Soda for a few dollars, rather than spending thousands and thousands of dollars to by a pyramid scheme product?
Because of convenience. And you don't have to spend thousands of dollars to buy one.
I got my SD501 in a perfect working condition for less then $400.
Yes, 400 US dollars. And a friend of mine just got one for $650.
A lot of people spend more in a year on buying bottled water.
Tap water is free, clinically just as good as Kangen Water for your health (depending on the city in which you live), and certainly more convenient than a machine that requires ongoing maintenance and expenses.
Lisa, where did you get your machine for $400? Used? Thank you
You sound like an old crackpot who is looking for someone to blame, someone to gripe about, someone who expects miracles when they don't take responsibility for their own habits and personal choices. This machine is wonderful, but it can't fix dumb.
